OLOOLUA ROAD: Residents Call For Crackdown

Pedestrians using Oloolua Road have requested authorities to crack down on motorists parking on the footpath.  Our reporter visited the road following complains from concerned residents, who feels violated by motorists.

One angry resident asked “why should mothers and children risk their life walking on the road for vehicles to be parked?  Do pedestrians life matter in Kenya?”

Other residents called for a crackdown on motorists parking in areas not designated as parking zones.

Unfortunately footpaths, parking spaces and loading bays are not marked well in Ngong Town.  Some of the motorists have no idea they are breaking the law, although some residents argue that common sense should prevail.
