NGONG MARKET TRADERS: May Relocate Immediately After Christmas Celebrations

The construction of the temporary market next to Ngong Stadium will start next Monday 26th November. The temporary site will sit on a land area measuring, approximately 1.9 hectares.  The site will host 2000 stalls, toilet facilities and management offices.

The construction will take approximately 30 days.  The market traders are expected to move to the temporary market, immediately after Christmas celebrations.

The temporary relocation of traders will pave way for the construction of a multistorey modern market, which will take 9 months to completion.

China Tiancheng Engineering East African Limited is the contractor tasked, to build the temporary and the permanent markets.
