GICHAGI COMMITTEE: Members Officially Elected “PHOTOS”

Gichagi Committee members were officially elected on the 14th October 2018.  The residents who participated in the elections retained most of the previous committee members.  The committee will be involved in all matters arising within Gichagi such as security, development, water etc

The committee members, requested political leaders to involve them in every development project taking place within Gichagi. The elections were organized by the office of Ngong MCA and the Office of the Chief, Ngong.

The residents requested Ngong Chief Kimemia to address the following three issues affecting Gichagi residents; Selling of drugs especially “bangi”, bars selling alcohol during unlicensed hours and youth harassment by the police.

In response, Chief Kimemia said he will conduct an operation soon to tackle drug peddling and sale of alcohol during unlicensed hours. In regard to the alleged youth harassment by the police, the chief promised to organize a meeting between the newly elected committee, Kajiado North Deputy County Commissioner (DCC), the Ngong OCPD and the OCS.
