Oloolua Road Repair: 300,000 Cabro Blocks to be Used

The cabro blocks which will be used to repair 300 meters of Oloolua Road are being made by hand at ministry of works facilities in Ngong.

According to Joel who is one of the supervisors, the 300 meters of Oloolua Road being repaired will require approximately 300,000 cabro blocks.

The materials are cheaply available locally

He further said eight to ten pieces of blocks are produced from one building stone. Chege who is also a supervisor told our reporter that each cabro block can withstand a weight of 90 tonnes.

The blocks can be made using local labor

Chege further said the technology can be a solution to local roads since all the materials are locally and cheaply available.
